It was an inspiring day...
16th Annual Donald G. MacDonald Tribute Luncheon
It was a luncheon to remember! On Thursday, May 8, 2008, luncheon chairperson Alison Sandler welcomed staff, consumers, sponsors and dignitaries in an more-than-filled-to-capacity setting at The Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Alison spoke about how all present and others, in concert, have contributed to the improvement of the lives of people with disabilities and economic challenges through job training, support and employment.
It was a touching tribute.
The audience was riveted as Mayor Hickenlooper shared his thoughts about the many ways we can serve individuals in need, and the ever-greater need to give. There were tears in many eyes as consumers powerfully expressed the hope, opportunity and choice afforded to them as a result of Bayaud Industries' work. The awards, flowers, piano music by Bayaud Industries graduate Van Bruce MacDonald, the books...and the conversation, all added up to a wonderful and inspiring afternoon.
Bayaud's work...works for all.
Proceeds benefit Bayaud Industries programs and
services, which serve people with disabilities and challenges. In fulfilling its mission, Bayaud Industries also serves its customers with reasonable, high-quality services within the community, while lessening the burden on public assistance programs by putting individuals to work. Thanks to our generous sponsors, donors and registrants, Bayaud Industries raised record dollars from this event to continue its important work.
Be part of our next benfit luncheon...as a participant, a sponsor, or both.
