"I came to visit America from Brazil many years ago. I decided to stay because I liked the country and the economic opportunities were much better.  I became a citizen, paid for my own education, found a job, and was able to help my family financially."

Before: "My life changed when I developed a foot problem. I had several operations, and eventually I had to stop working because my full-time supermarket job required standing all day."

"I had little experience outside of my job and even with a college degree, I knew it was going to be hard to find new work. Being over 40 years old and working for so many years in one job, it was very frightening to suddenly have to change."

After: Sandra is now doing desk work at the regional Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Happily employed, she is earning more money than ever before.

"I began taking computer classes to prepare me to go back to work as an entry-level office clerk.  Part of my early training involved working part-time at Bayaud Industries’ front desk. This hands-on experience, along with additional classes in scanning and video operations, resulted in many job opportunities.  Soon, I was offered a full-time job at the EPA through a special contract they have with Bayaud Industries. I accepted the position."
